At the “Last Supper,” Jesus last meal with his disciples before the cross, Jesus instructs them to break bread together to remind them of Christ’s body which was to be broken for them. He also tells them to drink wine in remembrance of his blood which was to be poured out for the forgiveness of sin. Later in the New Testament, we see that it was the norm for the Church to do this every time they came together, so we at Northeast Christian Church participate in communion weekly, and invite all those who are baptized believers to join us!
